May, 2019 Sew for Hope

Thank you for taking the time to read our note.

We’re meeting in May on the 4th and 18th
10 – 3 with brown bag lunch from 11:30 – 12:30

3510 Weems Road in the ARTS After School Building

Thank you to all our donors who so generously give fabric or sewing supplies, but please try to drop off before lunch. We need time to organize donations. Speaking of donations, we do have some yardage coming in that will need to be laundered. Thank you. Blessings upon anyone willing to do someone else’s laundry. That’s service in a most humble way.

We completed and delivered the 2019 PAEC blankets just in time. We’ve already started making kits for the 2020 PAEC blankets. These are easy to sew, and we like to have the kits available for people who are looking for an easy project. Please feel free to stop by for a visit and to pick up an easy kit. Volunteers may also select fabric from our stash and make a quilt or blanket of their own design. We also have more advanced projects that are ready for quilting.

We sew and create and make a lot from a little. We’re doing what we love. Sew for Hope allows it’s volunteers to express their gifts and talents. Sew for Hope recognizes that what we do as a group is of great value to ourselves and to others. If you would like to try us on for size, stop by any time. Newcomers are always welcome. We are not a closed group. We are not cliquish. We have fabric, equipment, supplies, and plenty of room to spread out and sew. Solitary stitchers are also welcome to use their own fabric, sew at home — and just drop off finished blankets. More information on size requirements can be found on our website.

Thanks for all you do,
Cynthia and the Sew for Hope Sisters
