Hello Dear Friends,

Thank you for your time and support. We are eternally grateful.

Our Saturday meetings in September will be 9/3 and 9/17, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at St. Stephen Lutheran, 2198 North Meridian. We’ll have brown bag lunch around 11:30, followed by show and tell.

We’ll continue to make and maybe complete our blanket kits for the 2023 PAEC migrant farmworker summer daycare program. We have five more to cut for Pre-K, then we’ll make the toddler and crib size blanket kits.

Becky has generously offered to bring her AccuQuilt fabric shape cutter. She’s going to do a demo, and let us use it if we choose.

Jeanne and Cynthia will work on PAEC kits. Jeanne will also show us her idea for an easy group project we may want to do in the near future. I think we’re all finished with our “Crumb” quilts and that most have been quilted thanks to Christy and Julie. We loved that project, so a big thank you to Marty for her teaching and guidance.

Several volunteers are working on their own ideas and philanthropic projects and of course that’s always okay. We also have a basket of projects that need work.

Sew for Hope COVID Guidelines:

*  We ask that you not attend S4H unless you have had your COVID shots and at least one booster shot.
*  We also ask that you stay home when feeling sick and that you avoid coming to our meeting if, in the last 4 days, you have been exposed to a large number of people, such as a concert or a large family get-together.
*  Leon County has moved to medium risk, with a 16% positivity rate. Masks are not mandatory but recommended if you are at greater risk.
*  We want to keep sewing together and not have to shut down because of Covid. Your help is needed.

Thanks for all you do,

Cynthia and her Sew for Hope Sisters
