Hello Dear Friends,

Thank you for your time.

In October we’ll be meeting only on October 15th as the church needs their space for another function. That’s St Stephen Lutheran Church, 2198 N Meridian Rd, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with brown bag lunch and show and tell around 11:30.

We’re almost done cutting the 2023 PAEC kits, then, if we choose, we can move on to a group project. It’s football season though, so our numbers are down.

Most volunteers are doing their own thing right now, so perhaps we should finish out the year this way. If you need help with a new project; we have UFOs, quilt blocks, cut squares, cut strips, and PAEC coverlet kits. We have plenty of batting scraps suitable for quilt as you go blankets, which we need to do, so as not to rely so heavily on our long arm quilters. Our two long-arm quilters are preoccupied at this time, so we need to enlist the help of others who can machine quilt.

In November and December we meet first Saturdays only.

Sew for Hope COVID Guidelines:

We ask that you not attend S4H unless you have had your COVID shots and at least one booster shot.
*  We also ask that you stay home when feeling sick and that you avoid coming to our meeting if, in the last 4 days, you have been exposed to a large number of people, such as a concert or a large family get-together.
*  Leon County has moved to low risk, with a 11.4% positivity rate. Masks are not mandatory but recommended if you are at greater risk.
*  We want to keep sewing together and not have to shut down because of Covid. Your help is needed.

Thanks for all you do,

Cynthia and the Sew for Hope Sisters
