Hello Sewing Friends,

In November and December, because of the holidays, we’ll be meeting only on the first Saturday of each month (11/5 and 12/3) at St Stephen Lutheran Church, 2198 N Meridian Rd, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with brown bag lunch and show and tell around 11:30.

We will be assisting QU to complete a number of quilt “sandwiches” as well as focusing on our own ready-to-quilt items. Bring your quilting foot if you think you would like to help with these projects. There are still nap time coverlets to be sewn if that is more to your liking.

Many volunteers are doing their own thing right now, so feel free to continue on your own path.  If you need ideas, we have UFOs, quilt blocks, cut squares, and cut strips. We have plenty of batting scraps suitable for quilt as you go blankets, which we need to do, so as not to rely so heavily on our long arm quilters.

Sew for Hope COVID Guidelines:

* We ask that you not attend S4H unless you have had your COVID shots and at least one booster shot.
* We also ask that you stay home when feeling sick and that you avoid coming to our meeting if, in the last 4 days, you have been exposed to a large number of people, such as a concert or a large family get-together.
* Leon County has moved to low risk, with a 5.18 positivity rate (Yay!). Masks are not mandatory but recommended if you are at greater risk.
* We want to keep sewing together and not have to shut down because of Covid. Your help is needed.

Thanks for all you do,

Cynthia and the Sew for Hope Sisters
