Hello Dear Friends,

Our Saturday meeting days next month will be May 6th and 20th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Lunch break with show ‘n tell is around noon, or when someone yells “lunch time”. We meet at St. Stephen Lutheran, 2198 N Meridian Rd. All are welcome, from beginning sewers to advanced quilters. We also welcome visitors and fabric donations. Please only those who have been immunized against COVID may participate.

We’ve had quite a few quilt tops donated that need quilting. We’re in need of a few good ladies who know how to quilt. We do have batting and a selection of yardage to cut for backing fabric. This is charity sewing. Although we do need well made quilts, we don’t expect perfection.

Hope Community needs twin size. If you have any philanthropic quilts you’d like to donate, this is a good time. They are greatly appreciated by us, Hope Community, and the kiddos who receive these wonderful gifts.

We did complete all the coverlets for the PAEC Summer daycare program and they were donated in advance of the deadline. We’ll continue to work on this project all through the coming year. We don’t want panic sewing at the last minute. This is a huge commitment, and it requires an extraordinary amount of novelty and flannel yardage. Hint, hint!

That’s all for now.

Thanks for all you do,
Cynthia and her Sewing Sisters
