Greetings Sisters in Sewing,
In July, we will meet on the 6th and the 20th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at St. Stephen Lutheran Church located at 2198 North Meridian Road. Bring your lunch to enjoy and your projects for Show and Tell at noon. Stay as long as you like, leave when you must.
With July 4th coming up this week, many of us are thinking about the founding of our country. I wondered if flag sewer Betsy Ross was a quilter. Turns out she was trained in upholstery, but certainly placed her share of stitches. Betsy said, “Behind every stitch is a story waiting to be told.” How cool is that? So many of our quilts are stories, so we’d all agree with her.
We will continue making our stories in July. We have fabric to cut into kits. Others will continue working on their projects. Our group offers a wealth of experience, feel free to ask questions and keep learning new techniques as you like.
