In March, we will meet Saturday, March 1st and March 15th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, located at 2198 North Meridian Road. Bring your lunch to enjoy and your projects for Show and Tell at noon. Stay as long as you like, leave when you must.
Bear with me as I share lots of news with you:
First, an enormous thank you to Austin Mahon for his very generous donation and installation of the beautiful shelves for our fabric!!! He owns a construction/renovation/handyman company called 89Delta. (Austin is a veteran and 89Delta was his military handle.) Anyway, the shelves are an amazing improvement and will help us keep our fabric organized so that we may utilize it better. **If you are enjoying them as much as I am, drop an email to him to send your thanks. I know he would appreciate hearing from us. Here’s his contact info to also use if you know of anyone who has construction needs. He’ll be happy to speak with you about your project. Austin@89delta.com or 850/491-6325.
Next, thank you Judy for stepping up to deliver quilts way out to Hope Community and for writing last month’s newsletter. Share your thanks next time you see her. She’s a gem!
And last, I recently met with Sandra from Bags for Hope. They were overwhelmed with a large donation of all sorts of fabric, and their group shared some cotton fabrics they received with us. We are certainly aware, but it’s good to reflect on the fact that we are part of something special, both in our own group and in our local sewing community. Thank you for being part of it! You are all treasured!!
Hugs,
Sandra and her Sisters in Sewing
