We meet on the first and third Saturdays of each month January through October. In November and December we meet only on the first Saturday.

Meetings are held from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at St. Stephen Lutheran Church located at 2198 North Meridian Road. Bring your lunch and share your projects for Show and Tell at noon. Stay as long as you like, leave when you must. We love new faces and are delighted to have you join us.

We have a stash of fabric that may be used to construct quilts from scratch, and we also have kits. A few of us work on making additional kits from donated scraps. We also have cutting mats, rotary cutters, rulers, irons – everything you need right there. Many of us bring our own sewing machines, but we have two machines on hand that may be used.

Projects we work on are varied, and you’re sure to find something you enjoy. We are sewing toddler-sized coverlets for PAEC (Panhandle Area Educational Consortium) for them to have on hand for their summer programs for migrant workers in Quincy. Quilts we make are donated to Family Promise of the Big Bend (formerly Hope Community), Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and other organizations with specific needs.

The group is friendly and easy going, and we have people at all levels of quilting knowledge who love to share their insights. You may learn something new at nearly every meeting.

We hope you will attend and check us out! We’d love to have you.
