Dear Sisters in Sewing,
In May we will meet on the 4th and the 18th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at St. Stephen Lutheran Church located at 2198 North Meridian Road. Bring your lunch to enjoy and your projects for Show and Tell at noon. Stay as long as you like, leave when you must.
Last month we were very productive, donating several quilts to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, making the gift quilt for St. Stephen church, and finishing up the PAEC coverlets. Thank you Vivian for hauling 59 coverlets for the children of migrant workers summer day care in Quincy. Vivian said, “Today was very heartwarming and staff was so appreciative and couldn’t thank Sew for Hope enough.” Hearing that fills our hearts with joy!
Tentatively the plan for May is to install new shelves/cubbies for our fabric collection. Stay tuned for more info on that.
Other than the organizational upgrade, we’ll continue working on our projects. Some of us are making kits, some are working on crumb quilts, some on next year’s PAEC project, and others are doing whatever strikes their fancy. There’s something for everyone to do, regardless of the amount of sewing experience, so invite your friends. We were blessed with a few new faces last month, and hope to see them again too.
