Hello Dear Friends,

Thank you for your time and support.

Our Saturdays in April will be the 1st and 15th from 10:00 until 2:00. As always, we’ll be at St. Stephen Lutheran, 2198 North Meridian Rd. Brown bag lunch and show ‘n tell begins around noon. Please only those who have been immunized against COVID should participate.

Most ladies are working on the project of their choice. If you’re ready for something new, Jeanne needs help on a scrappy, group project. She’s already cut 1,000 strips of fabric. Those who wish can jump in at any time and do simple, straight line sewing.

We have too many works in progress. They are waiting patiently for someone to finish them. We have many quilt tops which need the batting cut, then the backing fabric selected and cut. Next they can be quilted. For most of us, the fun is in starting a project. We need some closers though. We need ladies who will quilt those beautiful tops and get them finished. Then they can be placed into the hands of children in need.

We’ve completed the PAEC nap-time coverlets for Summer of ’23. Yay!!! Due to the amount of blankets needed, this has become a year-round activity.

In closing, I want to say how proud I am of our volunteers. We’ve been making philanthropic quilts and blankets for 15 years and we’re still going strong. We have been blessed with talented givers.

Thanks for all you do,
Cynthia and her Sewing Sisters
